Ed Steffelin serves as Chief Investment Officer of the Company. In  this role, he directs, along with Mr. Davey, the strategic decision  making of the Company. He oversees the origination of investments,  capital markets, and developer and builder relationships.

Mr. Steffelin has over 25 years of investment experience in real estate.  He has invested and structured over $25 billion in real estate assets and securities. He has created and managed distressed funds, an alternative REIT, a long-short hedge fund, CDOs, and other vehicles. Mr. Steffelin  has held senior positions at Walton Group, GSC Group, Allianz, and TCW.

Mr. Steffelin was EVP of Capital Markets at Walton International Group from 2009 to 2019. He managed a New York-based team. Walton  invested in primarily residential land throughout the “southern smile”  of the US. While at Walton, Mr. Steffelin was instrumental in building institutional relationships including those with homebuilders and land developers across the country. During his tenure, he formed a distressed vacant developed lot fund, and structured a long-term land investment vehicle with a family office.

He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Occidental College with a BA degree in Economics, cum laude, and from Tuck School at Dartmouth College with an MBA.
