Josh Hartmann serves as CEO of NexMetro, the country's leading developer of single-family rentals. He brings more than 25 years of real estate management and development to this role and is using that background to create innovative home solutions in the country's hottest housing markets. He is responsible for developing and implementing both short and long-term business strategies to ensure the company's continued growth, effectiveness, and sustainability. NexMetro's unique product of detached, professionally managed, single-story leased home neighborhoods creates places people are passionate about and want to call home.

Under Josh's leadership, NexMetro is positioned as a solutions-based developer providing well-thought-out communities where residents enjoy the comforts and conveniences of their own home without the upfront expenses or long-term maintenance needs typical of home ownership. As of February 2023, NexMetro has more than $2 billion completed or in development in national markets. Josh 's leadership has resulted in more than 9,000 homes representing more than 50 projects completed or under construction nationally since the company's inception in 2012.

Prior to joining NexMetro, Josh oversaw land operations for the Phoenix division of PulteGroup, Inc. where he managed $2.4B of capitalized assets and more than $100MM in annual cash flow for acquisition and development of land assets. His tenure in the real estate development field and his innovative and forward-thinking approach sets him apart and showcase his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to the communities in which NexMetro is fortunate to serve.

Josh is a frequent real estate industry panelist and has been involved with organizations including Young Presidents Organization, ULI Built for Rent product council, and chairman emeritus of the Phoenix Environmental Quality Commission. He also serves as a mentor for Project Destined and supports the Phoenix Art Museum, Hazelden Betty Form, The Nines (IX) Conservancy in New York, and Alice Cooper Solid Rock Teen Centers.
