Joel Kirstein is a Managing Director of Mortgage Baking a National Team Lead for Berkadia’s Single Family Rental & Build-for-Rent specialty group. Mr. Kirstein joined Berkadia in June of 2017 and is responsible for loan origination and equity placement within the Single Family and multifamily asset classes. Over the course of his career, he has closed in excess of $2 billion in the US housing investment space. His areas of expertise are land bank structuring, development capitalizations, construction financing, joint venture capital, and long term permanent financing through Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Life Insurance Company executions.
